Doris represents the best of what home care can be: reliable, compassionate, and deeply kind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Lifelong Commitment to Care<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>For 23 years, Doris has dedicated her life to helping older adults and people with disabilities live safely and independently at home. Her approach is simple yet powerful: treat every client like family. From preparing meals and brushing hair to offering steady companionship, she delivers care with equal parts heart and skill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of her longest relationships has been with her client, Mary, who became paralyzed after an accident in her youth. Thanks to Doris\u2019s steady presence, and the support of Mary\u2019s family and the Area Agency on Aging, Mary has been able to stay in her home and live life on her terms.. Over the years, the two have built a bond rooted in laughter, trust, and respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leading the Next Generation of Caregivers<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite announcing her retirement earlier this year, Doris returned to caregiving\u2014a true testament to her passion for the work. She now mentors newer caregivers, showing them how to safely use adaptive equipment such as Hoyer lifts and sharing insights that only experience can bring. Her leadership has helped shape a culture of care and professionalism that uplifts both clients and coworkers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Difference One Person Can Make<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary often says she doesn\u2019t know what she\u2019d do without Doris. That sentiment reflects the impact Doris has made in every home she\u2019s entered.
